I started writing for EBIO in March of this year after resigning from my work as management and audit analyst at the Provincial Administrator’s Office of Bulacan. I really had plans to resign but it had come so early so I had to find a replacement for my job. I had seen the job posting by EBIO as early as December 2004 when I was taking my MPA courses in Diliman, and luckily I continuously saw the job advertisement until 2006 when I was in my last semester. I love my job, and thinking about working and earning while you do the work at home was just so cool. I met new people as co-workers, and surprisingly, I liked them. I would usually hear them say something about their kids. “Sasamahan ko yung anak ko sa dentist;” Ihahatid ko anak ko sa scul.” I was also able to learn and do new things unpainstakingly, like washing the dishes, washing my own clothes, cleaning the house, and feeding the animals. Outsourcing is a trend in today’s economy, and it presents new opportunities that before we think are impossible. A lot of people are earning from their businesses in the net, and for that we should acknowledge that globalization also has its upsides. It was not at all entirely evil.

when was the last time i post? last monday? duh time flies so fast. sunday na uli. madalang yung time na nagkikita-kita kaming magkaka-mag-anak and usually it happens during important occasions lang like reunion and siyempre wake of the elders who passed away. this whole week, restless ang neighborhood namin because my second cousins' grandma passed away. we live in a compound and we are with our second degree cousins. kami ang na-separate sa mga first cousins namin dahil lumaki si daddy here in bocaue sa mga ingkong at impo niya. so consequently, dito na rin kami lumaking magkakapatid. the roxas family is big, but atleast yung sa brunch ng sa amin, magkakakilala pa. minsan i was thinking na sa aming lahat, kaming siblings ang hybrid dahil we somehow provide a link to them, the people who resides in sta. maria, bualcan, bulacan, and here in bocaue. i could say they were not closed and knitted and it is us ng mga kapatid ko ang nagsisilbing link sa kanila. the implicit obligation was overhelming but i would also say i enjoy it. but one day, i wish hindi na ko matali sa ganon to achieve some unfulfilled dreams and use some hidden potential of mine. sa laki ng pamilya namin, you would think masaya dahil sa dami ng kakilala. whew! so yun, nahaba na kuwento, i had to stay in front of so many people this week dahil ang daming nagdadatingan na relative. mabuti naman at two days ko lang kinailangan gawin iyon dahil nandun naman sina mommy. inaantok pa ko hanggang ngayon. it was good i had worked on projects earlier this week kaya productive naman siguro ako.
